Importance and role of knowledge management in higher education (Case study: Faculty of Management, Azad University, Research Sciences Branch)

Knowledge Management in Organizations In organizations, it provides the ground for re-reading, creating, cultivating, sharing and exchanging, promoting, organizing, maintaining and disseminating knowledge at the level of organizations. The aim of this study was to determine the necessity of establishing and implementing knowledge management in the Faculty of Management, Research Sciences Branch of Azad University. This is a descriptive study and was conducted in 2010-2011 in the Faculty of Management, Research Sciences Branch. The research population includes management students and professors. The data collection tool includes a governor's questionnaire whose reliability and validity were confirmed and analyzed by SPSS 24 analysis software. Among the participants in the study, the highest frequency is related to the age group of 23-30 years and the lowest frequency is related to the age group more than 30 years. The highest frequency of participants in terms of gender is related to women 83 people (58.5) and also the lowest frequency of participants is related to men 117 people (41.54) which includes people with master's degree and the highest frequency in terms of education Related to the doctorate with a frequency of 190 (954) and the lowest frequency is allocated to the master's degree with a frequency of 10 (54) and the highest average is related to the information technology factor and the factor of ranking underlying factors with a minimum average of 3.36 Have. According to the obtained results, the situation of knowledge management in the School of Management of the Research Sciences Unit is in a relatively favorable situation and it can be concluded that it is more important for establishing knowledge of organizational culture than other factors, so maintaining and strengthening the components affecting organizational culture should be priorities. School of Management is a research science unit.
