Using Analogy Strategy in Science Education
Science education focuses on extending learning and transferring skills to learners so that learners can effectively use the knowledge and skills gained in daily life and professional activities. Analogy is a process that learners apply knowledge and skills related to one domain in another domain by recognizing the similarities and differences between the two domains. The analogy is an essential cognitive ability that used in teaching and learning experimental sciences. In this paper, analogy, teaching models based on analogy and the importance of using them in teaching experimental sciences will be briefly introduced. Then, some of limitation and challenges of using analogy in teaching of science will be mentioned. Then, some of limitation and challenges of using analogy in teaching of science will be mentioned.
