Investigating the Relationship between Job Self-Esteem and Marital Satisfaction among Official Female Employees of Tehran Radio and Television in 2010
The aim of this study was to investigate the relationship between job self-concept and marital satisfaction of female official employees working in Tehran. There were 163 subjects in this study who were selected by multi-stage cluster sampling. To collect the required data, 18-item Super Job Self-Esteem Questionnaire and 47-item Enrich Marital Satisfaction Questionnaire were used. Data were analyzed by Pearson torque correlation and regression. The results showed that there is a positive relationship between job self-concept and marital satisfaction, but it is not significant and there is no significant relationship between job self-concept and marital satisfaction components in the components of leisure, sexual relations, marriage and children. There is a positive result between job self-concept and the components of marital satisfaction in the components of marital relationship, conflict resolution, financial management, relatives and friends and religious orientation, but there is no significant relationship and only high correlation and positive and significant relationship with personality issues Is observed. In general, job self-concept is not a significant predictor of marital satisfaction, which can be due to the lack of priority of job issues over family in the women under study.
