Workplace stress is a problem in nursing. Nurses experience a wide range of stresses due to specific work environment conditions, which can affect all aspects of their lives. Chronic nurses’ job stress can eventually lead to burnout. Given the importance of this issue, in this study, we will examine the relationship between occupational stress and job burnout.

The results of literature review showed that workplace stressors have a significant role in exacerbating nurses’ job burnout.
Stress-free environment in the nursing profession is unavoidable. Nurses’ constant exposure to these stresses in the workplace increases the work pressure on nurses and leads to long-term physical and mental fatigue, job loss, and burnout. Identifying and reporting these stresses to nursing management and hospital authorities are necessary to provide a better nursing care.
