The Effect of Corporate Governance Structure and Capital adequacy on The Bank Risk-taking in Iran
The purpose of this research is to know the importance of capital adequacy and corporate governance in limiting excessive risk-taking in banking system in Iran. Using 15 listed banks in Tehran Stock Exchange from 2009 to 2016 and panel multivariate regression, the results showed that capital adequacy, institutional shareholder and board independence had a significant and a negative impact on bank risk-taking, and size of board and duality of CEO responsibility also had a positive and significant effect on bank risk-taking.
