Investigating the factors affecting the cost of households in the field of health care (a case study of households in selected provinces) .
Improving health and providing health care is one of the key aspects of socio-economic development, because complete health and well-being is an essential aspect of quality of life. Therefore, the aim of this study is to investigate the factors affecting the decision-making of Iranian households living in selected provinces to enter the health services market. In this study, to determine the factors affecting household decision making, sample selection models and Hackman's two-step estimation method have been used. It should be noted that due to the problem of sample selection, it is necessary to use sample selection models to obtain reliable estimates. In compiling the present study, the household budget information of the Statistics Center of Iran has been used and the data related to 7597 households living in the selected provinces have been used. The results show that the number of elderly people, residence, marital status of nurses, benefiting from health insurance services, per capita income, education, number of non-elderly and gender ratio are among the most important factors influencing family decision making in the provinces. The country is selected to enter the health services market. In addition, it was found that smoking by members could not affect the amount of money a household spends on health. In order for households to make adequate use of health care conditions, it is necessary to make strategic decisions to increase the productivity of households in order to further the development of the country, given the role and position of each region.
