The Semantics of the word Inanition (Jumood) in the Holy Quran

Considering the importance and applicability of the terms Inanition (Jumood) in the cultural, social and political literature, the Figuring out its meaning according to Quranic teachings is very important nowadays. Therefore this research aimed to recognize the meaning of Inanition (Jumood) and other related terms, semantically. By finding some new meanings and examples of it, in the Holy Quran, be gained a better and more comprehensive concept of Jumood. Therefore while recognize the lexical meaning of Jumood and words in its semantic circle, according to the form of the verses and commentators the words and their existents have been examined, which each of them expresses some of the Quranic meaning of Jumood. By this study it is clear that the related concept to Jummod divide to two categories: real and virtually one. Related terms including Humility, fanaticism, temperance and heart rate, semantically closes to Jumood. The present study has made in a analytically method.
