The Role of Glass Cliff Phenomenon and Leadership Style in Empowering of Sports Female Managers with According to the Sustainable Development Goals

Abstract:
The purpose of this study was to identify the role of glass cliff phenomenon and leadership style in empowering of sports female managers.The methodology of this research is applied in terms of purpose, data collection was descriptive-correlation that was done as a survey. The statistical population of the study included all female managers that work in sport organizations, and the statistical sample of this study was selected according to the unlimited community (n=384). The data collection tools in this study are standard questionnaires included Glass Rock Nasiri (2012), Leadership Style Chaleshtari (2010) and Empowerment Questionnaire of Reinhart and Short's (1994). To analyze the data, structural equation method was used.The results showed that the Glass Cliff Phenomenonhas a negative and significant effect on the empowerment of female managers. Also, a positive and significant effect was observed between leadership styles with empowerment of female managers. Finally, a positive and significant effect between the Glass Cliff Phenomenon was confirmed by empowering female managers through the mediating role of leadership style. Sport plays a role in many of the goals of sustainable development, among these goals is the empowerment and greater presence of women at the community level. In general, Can be expressed that by overcoming of obstacles of the glass cliff phenomenon and paying attention to the use of participatory leadership and counseling styles, it is possible to help empower female managers in the country's sports.
