Sayyid Jamal and the Grounds for the Revival and Progress of the Islamic Civilization
Sayyid Jamal lived in a time when on the one hand, Muslim society were away from the Islamic civilization and on the other hand, the western civilization whipped the weak body of Muslims by its cruel invasion. In these conditions, Sayyid Jamal sought a way to save Muslims from the severe whips of the enemy. His plan was utilizing the western civilization but throwing away its colonial dimension because he believed that the western industry can be separated from its domineering aspect; however, he emphasized on reviving the Islamic civilization more than on taking the civilizational achievements of the West, but how? It seems that, to do so, he tried to design the virtuous society and regarded the establishment of caliphate as a necessity, a government which enjoys religious nature and is managed constitutionally but he emphasized more on turning the people into a nation since utilizing all facilities of Muslims is necessary for the realization of the Islamic civilization.
