A study of the characteristics of the linguistic event of the Qur'an in the duality of "speech/writing" with emphasis on narrations
The spoken or written language of the Qur'an is one of the emerging issues in the contemporary Qur'anic research that the acceptance of any view in this regard makes the approach to the divine word and its understanding different. Despite writing several works on this subject, many writings do not pay attention to the distinction between the duality of "speech/writing" and the duality of "spoken /written" and therefore confuse the concept of "writing" and "written" on the one hand and the concept of "speech" and "spoken" on the other hand. The present article, in a descriptive-analytical method by explaining the differences between the mentioned dualities and separating the field of research of each has considered the Qur'an as a linguistic event and based on narrations has examined its characteristics in the duality of "speech/writing". The study shows that the Holy Quran has a combination of speech characteristics (such as the presence of a linguistic relationship, high dependence on prosodic units) and written characteristics (such as predetermining the text, one-way language communication).
