Content Analysis of Talent Supply Chain Management in the Banking Industry
Due to constant developments in the banking industry, there is a quantitative and qualitative mismatch between the objectives of the banks for talent hunt and what they actually obtain. By analyzing the content of talent supply chain management, this study aims to reduce the risk in talent supply chain through identifying its dimensions and components.
This research is based on a fundamental orientation and philosophy of constructivism as well as a qualitative method using content analysis technique and stratified systematic and snowball sampling and semi-structured interviews of 16 banking industry experts. Data analysis was performed using three steps of open, axial and selective coding and at the end of the network of themes were presented.
124 open codes, 23 sub-categories and 13 main categories were classified and presented. The main categories in talent supply chain management can be classified as flow, function, structure and processes.
Talent supply chain can reduce the banking industry risks of supply imbalance and talent demand using a structure consisting of suppliers, strategic partners, sensitive jobs and also through the processes of demand management, communication management, talent management and performance management, while managing the flow of information and talents.
