This article tries to answer the following question: Does God give priority to inimitability or truthworthiness in quoting the other’s words in the Holy Qur’an? The hypothesis of this research implies that the Divine miracles are miraculous in terms of the truthfulness of its creator as well. Therefore the inimitability of the Holy Qur’an is total and absolute in terms of the aspects of its inimitability and the reasons for this miracle. As the creator of miracle, God has attributes of perfection such as truthfulness and …. Although God is essentially attributed to these characteristics, He gives priority to truthfulness and honesty over inimitability when quoting other’s words, and narrates their words as they are; because it is in accordance with God’s wisdom and perfection to quote the words truthfully and honestly and it makes Him free of any defects. Yet this does not mean the Holy Qur’an is not miracle in some cases.
