The role of Optimism in the workplace with psychological health of Bushehr Welfare Bank employees

Abstract:

The aim affects the dimensions of health. Therefore, the aim of this study was to investigate the role of optimism in the workplace with the psychological health of Bushehr Welfare Bank employees. The method of the present study was descriptive correlation. The statistical population of this study included all employees of Bushehr Welfare Bank branches in 2019, using Cochran's formula, 107 people were selected by stratified sampling. Data collection tools were Sheer and Carver (1985) 6-item Happiness Questionnaire and Goldberg (1972) 28-item Mental Health Questionnaire. Pearson correlation and linear regression analysis and SPSS software version 22 were used to analyze the data.

Results

The results showed that there was a significant negative relationship between optimism and psychological health (P <0.001). Omid also explained 19.8% (P<0.01) of the variance of employees' psychological health. According to the findings, it can be concluded that promoting optimism and positive emotions is one of the important ways to increase the psychological health of employees.
