The Modeling Structural Role Mediator Resiliency in Relationships between Communication Patterns with Marital Satisfaction

Family is a natural social system that men and woman are its major subsystems in all of stages of its development and many factors such as communication patterns and resiliency play a role in their marital satisfaction. The purpose of this study was the modeling structural role mediator resiliency in relationships communication patterns with marital satisfaction.

This is a descriptive- correlation research. The statistical population consisted of all Married men and women are referred to counseling and psychological services related to counseling system Tehran city in year 2019. The sample size was 480 subjects based on formula Cramer was selected by convenience sampling method and after deleting the missing values and outlier detection data, 302 people remained in the analysis. The tools were used included Enrich marital satisfaction questionnaire of Olson, Fournier & Druckman, communication patterns questionnaire of Christensen & Sullaway and resilience scale of Connor-Davidson.

The results showed that was significant correlation communication patterns and resiliency with marital satisfaction (P<0/01). Also results showed, Also this model showed indirect path communication patterns with marital satisfaction through moderating role resiliency. The proposed model had an acceptable fitness to the data (RMSEA=0/061).

Some factors, including communication patterns and resiliency were found to affect coupleschr marital satisfaction. It is recommended that therapists pay more attention to these factors in providing solutions to promote marital satisfaction.
