An Analytico- Historical Study on the Progressive Steps of the Theory of Velayat-e Faqih in the View of Shiite Scholars

Shiite viewpoint about government has been affected by the holy Prophet's teachings and infallible Imams' so much so that the pyramid of power has been defined specially which is due to the divine appointment in human society.  Infallible Imams in this system are appointed by Allah. Not only has this divine leadership been considered at the presence of Imam, but also because of the necessity of the divine rules for the society, this point is highly noticed for the time of occultation, too. This is the belief of the Shiite that political and religious leadership during the time of occultation is the duty of a fully qualified and pious faqih. Considering the realities of the history of Islamic civilization, this belief has started from a simple theory and has improved to a perfect and completed one. In this paper, this process is to be analyzed.
