The Process of "Otherness" in the Political Discourse of Imam Khomeini

It is inevitable to define "otherness" for knowing "self" to realize and know any kind of "identity". In this regard, Imam Khomeini's thoughts as an identifiable framework for any Muslim paid special attention to the "otherness". This paper seeks to demonstrate this process in the political speeches of Imam Khomeini and introduces defined "otherness", being based on Islamic monotheism, in his thought. This "otherness" which is consisted of violent self to global arrogance dedicates a new identity to Muslim people which would affect their earthly and heavenly lives both.
