Challenges of integrated urban management and providing operational solutions

Nowadays, due to the physical, spatial and demographic growth and expansion, as well as the multiplicity and complexity of the problems and challenges of cities, the need for integrated urban management to manage the public affairs of cities, especially for metropolises, has become more clear. As an interconnected generality, the city needs a powerful organization with integrated management. The multiplicity of management and inconsistencies of public and private organizations and institutions responsible for urban affairs from metropolitan management challenges such as Tehran have caused some problems within the metropolis. The purpose of this study was to investigate and identify the challenges of urban integrated management dominance through library study and to investigate the most important researches on the subject of research. Then, using meta-analysis technique and screening of unrelated articles, identifying the dimensions and components of mismanagement and bad urban integrated rule and providing operational solutions to improve urban integrated rule and management. The results of this study can provide a comprehensive view to municipal managers and urban rulers and researchers interested in this field.
