Purpose:
The main purpose of this study is to investigate the role of social capital in the development of ambidexterity learning and knowledge transfer among university faculty members.
Methodology:
This applied research has been done by survey-descriptive method using a questionnaire. The statistical population of the study is 421 faculty members of Islamic Azad University and Payam Noor University of Urmia and Mahabad. Using Cochran's formula, 201 people have been selected as a statistical sample. Data analysis was performed based on structural equation modeling (SEM) using Smart-PLS software.
The results showed that all coefficients related to the paths between the variables of this research (except social capital path on knowledge transfer) were significant. Knowledge is also meaningful. And social capital has a positive and significant effect on knowledge transfer indirectly through to ambidexterity learning.
The results indicate that the existence of social capital in the university promotes the learning of ambiguity in the dimensions of exploration and profit, which will provide the basis for knowledge transfer between faculty members.
