Abstract:

In the present Research, the "Concurrent validation of the national scale of adaptive behaviors with the new version of the Tehran-Stanford-Binet intelligence test in Intellectual Disability Children" and the main question was whether the national scale of adaptive behaviors with the new version of the intelligence test Tehran - Stanford - Bina has a Concurrent narrative in Intellectual Disability Children ? The present Research falls into the category of psychometric researchs. The research community was formed in 1398 by experts in the field of adaptive behavior assessment, educators and parents of children with intellectual disabilities in private and public centers of the Welfare Organization and the Exceptional Organization of Tehran Province. In the present Research, following the sampling method available, 1200 educators and parents of intellectual disablity children from private and public centers of the Welfare Organization and the Exceptional Organization of Tehran Province were selected as the sample. The instrument used in the present Research are the national scale of adaptive behavior and the new version of the Tehran-Stanford-Binet intelligence scale, both of which have been standardized in Iran and have good validity and Reliability. In order to test the research questions, the statistical model of Pearson correlation coefficient was used and the research findings showed that (except for fluid reasoning score and fluid intelligence) between fluid reasoning factors, knowledge, quantitative reasoning, visual-spatial processing and working memory. Adaptive behaviors are observed with the most of national scale subscales of adaptive behaviors. Thus, increasing intelligence in these four factors, adaptive behavior increases and adaptive behavior decreases with decreasing intelligence. Therefore, the scale of adaptive behavior has a validity Concurent with the new version of the Tehran-Stanford-Binet intelligence scale and can be used as an eff ective instrument to measure the adaptive behavior of intellectual disability children.
