Identification of Codes of Ethics for Sustainable Tourism and Providing a Template for Implementing them (case stydy: Bushehr province)
The aim of this study is identifying Codes of Ethics for sustainable tourism and providing a template for implementing those Codes of Ethics.
This study is practical and its method of data gathering is qualitative and in the form of grounded theory. The participants of the study were tourism experts of Bushehr province. 20 deep interviews were conducted by using theoretical sampling and interviewing techniques. The gathered data were analyzed through Strauss and Corbin. Then the relation among those items were determined by Axial coding and categorized in five groups including causative conditions, strategies, underlying conditions, interfering conditions and consequences.
It was shown that 770 initial codes were gained in the first step. During selective coding these concepts changed into 552 categories and then 70 main items were finally extracted. Each of these items was in five systematic subgroups including (causative conditions, axial phenomenon, strategies, underlying conditions and consequences.
According to the results, respecting tourism Codes of Ethics is essential for reaching sustainable tourism development; the extracted model in this study can assist those who are involved in tourism industry.
