Acute Lactate Response as One of the Indicators of Metabolic Stress in Aerobic Training of Double Boxing with Kinect Xbox with and without Restriction of Blood Flow in Healthy Non-Athlete Youth
Quarantine restrictions during the corona have increased the risk of immobility and its complications, while increasing the use of computer and video games with movement. The aim of this study was to evaluate the acute changes in lactate (one of the indicators of metabolic stress) in aerobic activity with Kinect Xbox with and without restriction of blood flow in non-athlete youth.
14 healthy non-athlete youth with an age range of 30±10 years were randomly selected. And on two different days with and without restriction of arterial blood flow, they played boxing with Xbox 360 for 20 minutes. Blood samples were taken before and immediately after.
There was a significant increase in serum lactate level compared to before the test in both training groups, but changes in lactate between the two groups with and without blood flow restriction were not significant (p ≤ 0 \05).
Playing video games with movement stimulates the necessary metabolites for effective metabolic stress and ultimately provides more benefits of physical activity and doing them with limited blood flow as one of the causes of metabolic stress for individuals. It has added value. Further studies are needed on the effect of restricting blood flow as a new training method on video games with movement and other metabolites affecting metabolic stress.
