Pathology of the Macro Policy-Making of Islamic Republic of Iran with Linguistic Territoriality in The Persian Speaking Countries of the Region

The Islamic Republic of Iran as a government emerged from the Islamic Revolution, has its own priorities based on semantic structure and special interests, and over the past four decades, it has pursued policies in its surrounding environment, which can now be evaluated. Accordingly, In the present article, this hypothesis was examined that “Persian language as one of the main components of Iranian identity is in the subset of the global Shiite discourse of the Islamic Republic of Iran and has the capacity to act as a complement to this discourse, and due to its historical depth, expand the territory of the Islamic Republic of Iran beyond the current borders”. The data required for the research were collected by library method and in the sphere of constructivist theory, the methodology has an interpretive nature. The findings of the study indicate that the Islamic Republic of Iran faces challenges such as the complex geopolitical rivalries of other actors and the Persian-Pashtun language challenge in Afghanistan and the separation of Tajik-speaking Persians; for Linguistic realm building in Afghanistan and Tajikistan. However, it has advantages such as the deep background and cultural influence of the Persian language in the peripheral regions of Iran that has served as a vehicle for the development of religious thought in this region, It presents opportunities for the Islamic Republic of Iran by emphasizing on cultural, linguistic, historical and religious commonalities, which can lead to greater cooperation and convergence of Persian-speaking territories.
