The Impact of Strategic Thinking and Strategic Planning on Company Performance with the Role of Strategic Foresight (Case Study: Kermanshah Gas Company)

The purpose of this study is to investigate the effect of strategic thinking and strategic planning on the performance of the company with a moderating role of futurism (Case study: Kermanshah Gas Company). The approach of the present study is quantitative. This research is based on the purpose of the applied type and in terms of the nature of the descriptivesurvey type. The statistical population includes the employees of Kermanshah Gas Company, whose number is 164 people and the sample size of 115 people was estimated using Cochran's formula. In random sampling, the researcher distributed 130 questionnaires. Thus, a total of 122 healthy questionnaires were collected and the return rate of the questionnaires was 93.8%. Research data were collected using standard questionnaires and analyzed using SPSS22 and Smart PLS3 software. The results show that strategic thinking and strategic planning have an impact on company performance and also foresight plays a positive moderating role in the impact of strategic thinking and strategic planning on company performance.
