Survey of clients' attitudes towards the quality of counseling and social assistance services of 11 police stations in Hamadan city: creating psychological security

Abstract:
Background and objective

One of the most important ways to control and reduce injuries and social crimes is to provide timely counseling services as well as quality assessment that can be effective in promoting the health of the community and the police by setting up counseling and social assistance centers. It has provided the context for the prevention of social issues and the provision of these services. Therefore, the present study was conducted with the aim of identifying the attitudes of clients towards the quality of counseling and social assistance services of 11 police stations in Hamadan.

Methodology

This research is a survey in terms of applied purpose and in terms of nature and method. The target population was the clients of the counseling and assistance department of the police station of 11 police commands of Hamadan city in July and August of 1399 (120 people). Using Krejcie and Morgan table and available sampling method, the sample size of 92 people was determined. The data collection tool was a researcher-made questionnaire. Descriptive statistics and one-sample t-test, independent t-test and one-way analysis of variance were used to analyze the data.

Results

The results showed that the quality of counseling and assistance services was at a desirable level for clients; There is also a difference between the attitudes of clients according to the type of service provided to them and between the attitudes of clients in solving individual problems according to their marital status; But there is no difference between the attitudes of the clients according to their age and education and between the attitudes of the clients in family issues, legal issues and social issues according to their marital status.
