Social factors affecting youth fashion in Shiraz
The purpose of this study is to investigate the social factors affecting the fashion of students of Islamic Azad University of Shiraz. Theoretical basis of research in opposition to the theoretical approaches of Max Weber, Thorsten Bond Veblen, Georg Simmel, Pierre Bourdieu, Robert K. Merton, James Samuel Coleman, Herbert Marcuse, Herbert Blumer, Irving Goffman, Paul Felix Lazarsfeld, Theodore Deuerk founded. The research method is applied with the objective criterion and in terms of survey method. The data collection tool is a questionnaire. The statistical population of this study is 19–34-year-old students of Islamic Azad University of Shiraz. The sample size was calculated using the Cochran's formula of 376 people. The sampling method for accessing randomly studied samples is cluster sampling. In order to determine the reliability of the pre-test questionnaire, 35 preliminary questionnaires were distributed among a number of statistical sample subjects for answering. Validity of each scale was determined using face validity method and reliability of each variable was determined by Cronbach's alpha method. Findings showed that the variables of gender, use of satellite, Internet, religious beliefs, role modeling, social status and objective manifestations affect fashion, while no relationship was observed between age and fashion.
