Factors affecting of Information and Computer Literacy of Graduate Students of Agriculture in Razi and Islamic Azad Universities of Kermanshah

Information and computer literacy is a concept emerged through the rapid transformation of information technologies, which is essential to survival in an information community. The present study aimed to factors affecting of information and computer literacy of graduate students of agriculture in the Razi University and Islamic Azad University, Kermanshah. This research was performed in terms of purpose, application, in terms of variable control, non-experimental, in terms of data collection, descriptive and correlational, in terms of paradigm, quantitative method and based on Multiple Regression (Stepwise Method). This study was conducted on 355 graduate students at Razi University and Islamic Azad University in Kermanshah. The sample was selected via multistage random sampling (n = 185). Data were collected using the questionnaire. The content and face validity of the questionnaire was confirmed by a panel of experts. Reliability was strengthened through pilot testing and calculating Cronbach’s alpha. The findings showed that computer and internet skills, English language skills, the university of study and the number of research projects affected the information and computer literacy of graduate students. It can be suggested that memorandums of cooperation be established with the technical and professional organization and that students be required to take skill courses and obtain valid certificates such as ICDL.
