Governance and economic development in Iran
With the end of the Second Chiian War, a general effort has been made among various thinkers to understand the development process. In the meantime, governance as a new concept in development literature has attracted attention. Good governance has indicators that can drive economic development. The purpose of this study was to investigate the governance and economic development of the Islamic Republic of Iran. The research hypothesis is that improving governance indicators can have significant effects on promoting development indicators such as higher per capita income, higher life expectancy, higher health and well-being, expansion of information technology in society, favorable public and specialized education- In other words, women have lower fertility rates, lower child mortality rates, lower unemployment rates and increased social welfare. The theoretical model of this research is based on the theory of developmental government and the data and data are collected qualitatively using library and internet resources and analyzed in a descriptive-analytical manner. The results show that the improvement of governance indices independent of geographical location can have significant effects on the promotion of development indices and thus increase social welfare, but it can be inferred from the studies conducted. The type of government ruling Iran, the process of economic development of Iran during the different periods after the revolution, has experienced different conditions and in each period of each of the indicators of governance have been different situation.
