Abstract:

The present article raises the question of what are the components of the idea of "divine providence" and its impact on the acceptance and legitimacy of the Mongol rule in seventh century Iran. This question has two aspects. First, why among the possible answers to the crisis of the occupation of Iran by the Mongols was the idea of "divine providence" that was raised, which in response to this question raised the issue of the system of education and the validity of this idea and security and secondly to the discussion of acceptance. And the legitimacy of the Mongol rule is in the minds of social agents who tried to justify the Mongol rule. According to the present article, the idea of "divine providence" and its consistency had sociological roots from the point of view of those who believed in this idea before it arose from a religious necessity. This study has used the capacities of discourse methods such as "possibility", "strategy" and "credibility" to clarify the issue as much as possible.
