The process of joining the villages in the north of Tehran metropolis with emphasis on the villages of Darkeh and Darband regions
One of the effects of the accelerated urbanization process is the growing number of cities as well as the transformation of rural centers into isolated urban areas; By upsetting the balance of spatial distribution of the population and planning, a great deal of social damage is inflicted on it. The annexation of the village to the city is one of the results of urbanism that has various desirable, undesirable social, economic and physical effects on the rural areas integrated in the city. This descriptive-analytical study was conducted using extensive documentary and field studies, including the completion of a household questionnaire in Darkeh and Darband villages in the north of Tehran metropolis. The subject of the research examines and determines that economic and physical, social and environmental factors have been effective in the process of annexation of Darkeh and Darband villages to the metropolis of Tehran and are probably considered as effective factors in creating conflicts due to the annexation of rural areas to the city limits.
