Abstract:
The purpose of this study is to design a model for sports development and education at Imam Khomeini Naval Academy in Nowshahr. This research is applied in terms of purpose, and the method of doing it is mixed. The sampling method was purposeful and available. The statistical population of the study included students, professors, experts and physical education instructors, the director of the physical education department and the education directors of Imam Khomeini Naval Academy of Nowshahr. In the first phase of the research, by conducting interviews with 25 people from the statistical population, the factors of development and training of sports were identified. In the second and third stages, the factors identified by the Delphi group (n = 25) were investigated; In these two stages, the factors that had at least 70% positive answer remained for the next stage. In the fourth stage, the ranking of the identified factors in the previous three stages was performed using a five-point Likert questionnaire, and finally, the sports development and education model of Imam Khomeini Naval Academy of Nowshahr was drawn. Friedman test in SPSS software was used to rank the factors. Based on the findings of this study, the most important factors in the development and education of sports at Imam Khomeini Naval academy of Nowshahr include the development of beach sports, support of university officials for student sports, the existence of student sports activity registration systems, the existence of specific budgeting systems in university sports, and the use of teachers and referees who had a degree in coaching and refereeing at the national and international levels; Therefore, university administrators should pay attention to the identified factors for the development and education of sports at Imam Khomeini Naval Academy of Nowshahr.
