The role of innovative behaviors and work engagement in relationship between workplace spirituality and unethical behaviors
Behavior in organizations is simply not a function of formal expectations, individual needs and organizational goals. Rather, it is the result of the dynamic relationships of these elements. Research aims to study role of innovative behaviors and work engagement in the relationship between workplace spirituality on the unethical behavior in the banking sector.
The present study is applied in terms of purpose and in terms of method is a descriptive correlation. The statistical population includes all managers and employees of Ghavamin and Ansar banks in Mazandaran province. Statiscal sample of 183 people who were selected through Cochran formula and cluster sampling method. For this purpose, questionnaires were distributed among the statistical sample.to assess the validity, Confirmatory factor analysis test with Lisrel software and Cronbach's alpha with Spss were used. the results show the validity and reliability of the questionnaires.
The Results of Lisrel structural equations showed that workplace spirituality has a negative effect on the unethical behavior. workplace spirituality has an impact on work engagement as well as on innovative behavior. work engagement also does not influence unethical behavior. Innovative behavior affects unethical behaviors. Also, workplace spirituality, considering mediator role of work engagement and innovative behavior, has not effect on the unethical behavior.
To reduce unethical behaviors, we must strenghen workplace spirituality, also innovative behaviors and work engagement do not act as mediators in the relationship between workplace spirituality and unethical behaviors.
