The present study was performed qualitatively by Glaser method. The statistical population includes professors and faculty members of sports management, managers and experts of IRGC championship sports.Ten members of the qualitative community purposefully formed the statistical sample. The measurement research tool was a semi-structured interview taken from library studies. The reliability of the interviews was obtained by the method of intra-subject agreement of 0.83. For data analysis, continuous comparison method was used in three stages of open, axial and selective coding.

Based on the results, 205 codes were obtained in the open coding stage and 7 axes in the axial coding, and finally, seven factors (political, social, economic, sports perspective, environmental, social and technological development) were found to be effective in developing the IRGC championship sport

The results of the research can be important for managers and decision makers in the championship sports of the Revolutionary Guards, in order to determine the priorities of the effective factors in the development of championship sports.
