Simulating of changes of land use in the central city- region of Mazandaran province by using SLEUTH model
The changes in the natural sub-system are mainly due to human activities and land use changes. In order to prevent the degradation of valuable lands, it should provide the necessary framework by using landscape development and forecasting for decision makers and urban-regional decision makings using landscape development and forecasting. The central city- region of Mazandaran province, is one of the geographical boundaries of Iran, which has undergone many changes recently due to unbalanced physical-physical development. In this research, we attempt to simulate the land use development and scenarios prediction in 1420 to reduce the effects of unbalanced development on a region of natural value. To achieve this, the SLEUTH model has been used to simulate future land use and scenario. The data and information required for the study include slope, land cover, exclusion, urban development, transportation, hillshade, which were extracted from the SLEUTH model and its five growth coefficients. Finally, it was revealed that the trend of development in the northern and central parts of the city- region was formed more than other areas and the best scenario in achieving balanced development of the region is a multi-centered network.
