Motivational Types of Students in Islamic Revolution’s Course at University of Tehran
The purpose of this study is to investigate the results of higher education policy in the Islamic Revolution course to identify the motivational types of the students of the University of Tehran. Studying the types of motivations can be a reflection of the students' desire for this course and help policymakers to evaluate and change their policies in public curriculum.
The statistical population consisted of 1,300students at the University of Tehran that during the first semester of 1397-98 had received Islamic revolution course. The sample was estimated based on Morgan table 198. To identify the type of incentive was used a standardized questionnaire and results-based motivational orientation, Multivariate regression models were used.
The results of this research model include external regulation, interjected regulation, and identified regulation that all three are in the form of external motivation. Such an inclination shows that the demands of the policymaker in the Islamic Revolution course are not largely overcome and the need for intervention and policy change is necessary.
the author of the survey conclude that the first priority of the professors of the Islamic Revolution course in facing the students of this course should be to try to motivate the students.
