The Relationship Between Chastity and Hijab Adherence With Marital Satisfaction and Family Performance With Emphasis on The Holy Quran Teachings Among Married Female Students of Boushehr Islamic Azad University
The purpose of this study is to investigate the relationship between chastity and hijab with marital satisfaction and family efficiency with emphasis on the teachings of the Holy Quran among married female students of Islamic Azad University of Boushehr.
The research method was descriptive-correlational. The study population consisted of married female students of Islamic Azad University of Boushehr. The sample size of this study was 291 people who were selected by stratified random sampling based on Cochran sample size formula. Data gathering tools were Mehdi Zadeh Attitude Questionnaire (2011), Olson Marital Satisfaction Questionnaire (1998), and Safourai Family Function (2014). Reliability of the research instruments using Cronbach's alpha coefficients were 0.72, 0.82 and 0.83, respectively. Pearson correlation matrix and multiple regression analysis were used to analyze the research hypotheses.
Findings indicate that marital satisfaction is significantly able to predict adherence to hijab, so that between adherence to hijab and marital satisfaction (p <0.01, r = 0.35) a positive and significant relationship at a level less than 0.01.
the authores of the survey conclude that there is a positive and significant relationship between adherence to hijab and chastity with marital satisfaction and family performance according to the teachings of the Holy Quran among married female students of Islamic Azad University of Boushehr. Also, adherence to the veil is predictable by marital satisfaction and family efficiency.
