Abstract:

Many philosophers and thinkers from the past till our modern time devoted at least a few pages or chapters of their scholarly works analyzing or realizing human society and its issues. How society change and what are the reasons behind social changes and how they could be controlled or managed have been the most significant issues in this regard. Answering this question paved the way for the creation of discipline by the name of Sociology. Sociologists put forward different theories analyzing the issue but the essay offers the question to the Qur'an and tries to figure out its point of view in analyzing social change mechanisms. The article, actually, wants to study the verses of the Qur'an according to the process of revelation and wants to highlight concepts that are significantly related to social change based on sociology. Needless to say, that effort like this essay may pave the way for a scientific exegeses movement with a social approach towards the Qur'an and its commentary.
