The effectiveness of emotional intelligence training on students' academic motivation in Karaj
The aim of this study was to investigate the effectiveness of emotional intelligence training on academic motivation of students in Karaj. The design of the present study was quasi-experimental with a control group using analysis of covariance. The population of the present study included all first grade high school students in Karaj, from which 40 students (20) in the experimental group and (20) in the control group were selected by multi-stage cluster sampling. The instruments used in this study included the Pantrich Academic Ethics Questionnaire scale. For the experimental group, an emotional intelligence training program was implemented but the control group did not receive any intervention. Inferential statistical methods of analysis of covariance were used to analyze the data. Statistical analyzes were performed using statistical software 23-SPSS. The results of the present study showed that the education used increases the enthusiasm of students. In general, it can be said that the education used is effective in students' academic motivation.
