The Impact of Cyberspace on the National Interests of the Islamic Republic of Iran from the Perspective of Soft War
The globalization and increasing development of information and communication technologies, which is referred to as the "network society", has led to change and transformation in various security, political, social and cultural dimensions. In cyberspace, there is a category called soft warfare that has created security threats against the national interests of countries. This network can be considered as a threat or an opportunity for countries. In the new situation, how to ensure Iran's national interests, to a large extent, requires understanding the processes of globalization and purposeful interaction with the actors of the international community.
This research is a library type and the method of collecting information was through taking notes, and collecting information from existing books, treatises and researches.
The hypothesis of the present article is that cyberspace, due to its cross-border nature, in addition to positive effects such as rapid access to information and communication with the global community, has had effects on our security, culture and identity; And in addition to security threats, it has tried to westernize (orient to the West), and change our culture and identity, or in other words, given the impact that cyberspace has, interactions are widespread, and creating extensive interactions can lead to change. Be it culture and identity, by changing it, our national interests also change.
