Architectural strategies for increasing social interactions in order to reduce crime in residential complexes (Case study: Mehr residential complex of Rasht)
The Mehr residential project is recognized as the largest national housing project that its implementation has been accompanied by a general policy of marginalization, diminution and ambition. The Rasht city residential project, with a capacity of 52,000 units, has been implemented and 40,000 units have already been delivered to applicants, and many families from different classes have lived in different cultural, religious and social levels. These differences in themselves lead to problems such as the absence of social ties and serious concerns about the increase in the number of crimes and abnormalities in the housing estates. To overcome this problem, arrangements must be made to ensure that residents of this residential town, in spite of the existing problems, can approach each other and engage in social interactions. In the current study, the current status of the pathology was identified through studying sources such as books, articles and other related documents and observing the Mehr residential project of Rasht, identified the factors affecting the establishment of security and prevention of crime, as well as the strengths and weaknesses of the project specific solutions and solutions were introduced through environmental design.
