A study on the role of parenting styles on teenagers' adherence to religious beliefs
The purpose of this study was to investigate the effect of parents' educational styles on the practical commitment to the religious beliefs of adolescents in Zahak city. This descriptive correlational study was carried out in second grade secondary schools in Zahak city in 2020. The population of the study was 1800 and the sample size was estimated using a Morgan table of 242 people by stratified random sampling method. In order to collect data, the questionnaire of childbirth practices Baarmind (1972) and practical commitment to the Islamic beliefs of Navid and Abdollahi (2001) were used. The data were analyzed using SPSS-23 software, t-test, correlation test and regression. The results showed that the authoritarian style, the dominant style of parents, and the practical commitment of students to moderate religious beliefs. Also, there was a significant correlation between practical and practical pedagogical styles (P ≤ 0.01). Between the practical commitment of female students to religious beliefs was more than boys (P <0.01). The results of regression showed that elite educational styles had 0.44 strengths of predicting practical commitment to religious beliefs.
