Analysis of the Importance-Performance Matrix of Innovation Indicators in Defence Scientific and Research Centres
Today, Science and Research Centers (SRCs) by establishing flow of knowledge and information and exchanging it among industry players can provide an appropriate platform for the production, development and dissemination of science and technology and creating an atmosphere of innovation in the country. Therefore, SRCs need to use a model to measure innovation and its maturity. In this research, based on the literature review and experts’ opinion, six main indicators were identified: innovation culture, development and infrastructures of innovation, networking, innovation processes, human resources and policies and strategies of a Defense Scientific and Research Centers (DSRCs). After confirming the indicators, by using the factor load of questions and the average of comments, the importance of each item and its performance were identified, respectively. Then, using the importance-performance matrix, the variables were measured and guidance strategy of each index based on the importance-performance matrix analysis was proposed. This research in terms of purpose is applied and in terms of nature and research method is descriptive-survey. The final results show that the average of all innovation indicators is less than the theoretical average. The only HR Factor of the institution is close to average and desirable index.
