Theological methodology of Ghiasuddin Dashtaki Shirazi
Mansour ibn Sadr al-Din Muhammad Dashtaki, nicknamed Ghias al-Din, is one of the famous scholars of intellectual and narrative sciences in the ninth and tenth centuries AH. His theological discussions are based on Peripatetic philosophy and due to his mastery of intellectual and narrative sciences, he has used these sciences in theology. His theological arguments are rational in matters where the use of narration requires distance, and narrative in matters which the intellect is incapable of comprehending, and rational-narrative in other matters. He has used the rational method to interpret and explain verses and hadiths and has paid attention to the opinions of philosophers, theologians and mystics and has criticized fairly and wisely
