Theological Methodology of Mohammad Ibn Hassan Shirvani

Mirza Mohammad Hassan Shirvani, known as Mullah Mirza, is one of the prominent and famous scholars of the 11th century who is an expert in various sciences. Theology is one of the sciences in which he has specialized and has written and researched its issues in accordance with the needs of his time. Shirvani is one of the rationalist theologians. He has paid attention to other sciences such as logic, philosophy, epistemology, Quran and Hadith, history and interpretation, principles of jurisprudence, and has used them in his theological discussions. Other prominent features in the theological method of Mohaghegh Shirvani are quoting the opinions and views of other theological differences, especially the Ash'arites and Mu'tazilites, as well as quoting the views of scholars, commentators and historians.
