Evaluation and analysis of land-use planning in urban development projects from the perspective of space justice (Case study: Detailed plan of Mahabad city)
The spatial heterogeneity which is seen greatly in cities nowadays is a result of lack of the previous appropriate development plans and also their unfavorable possibility to happen. This research is done with descriptive-analytical methodology and correlation, utilizing the documental studies related to detailed plans of the year of 1996 and the current status ofthe city and also using the quantitative models, and statistical analysis in the SPSS and ArcGIS soft-wares. The main goal of the research is to explain and evaluate the compiling method and the possibility of happening of the detailed plan ofthe 1996 of the city of Mahabad based on the spatial justice metrics. The results showed that in total, except Residential landuse, the possibility of suggested landuses (especially city services) in the detailed plan is actually low. Also ithas been cleared that the gap between various zones of the city is increased wherever the possibility of the suggested users, urban services in particular, has been greater and that is because the more enjoyable areas have been paid attention more in both the plan compiling and in the executing phases. Also, we can understand that failures happen more in the marginal and outside of the city. The other point is that inthe suggested plans, exterior development has been more emphasized on while the interior development has been not. Ultimately, we can say that the lack of spatial justice metrics in the providing and compiling the urban development plans, especially in the small and medium cities is seen significantly.
