The Major Methods of Inquiry into Religious Epistemes

The role of method in human cognition and knowledge is not hidden to anybody. The differences of perceptions and interpretations arise from the differences and gaps in methods of research. Reducing the differences of methods is, therefore, a big step towards attaining a common approach and preventing the formation of diverging views.The building block of any cognitive method consists of:1)the selected resources of understanding and inferences;2)the way to approach those resources (specifying the limits and scopes of using them;3)evaluation, comparison and classification of those resources, particularly in case of any con¬flict among them;The present paper is a survey of the classical methods of researching, and understanding religious cognitions. The paper also suggests a unified method for the jurisprudence and the logic of infer¬ence.
