The Effects of Service Failure and Brand Transgression on Customer Coping Strategies in Internet Taxis
Nowadays, businesses will be more successful if they meet their customers’ needs and wants better than competitors and have a customer-oriented approach in their strategies. Likewise, in service businesses, it is evident that the customer should be satisfied, and for this purpose, providing services with the desired quality is favored. Of course, a service has high quality if the level of service provided meets customers’ expectations. However, service failure is inevitable in today’s service industries. In this regard, by studying the research backgrounds and results of previous studies and considering the theoretical model of our research, the effect of service failure and brand transgression on customer coping strategies in internet taxis was investigated in the present study by presenting 12 hypotheses. The data analysis was performed by structural equation modeling (SEM) using PLS software. The statistical population of this study included 384 randomly selected users of Snap and Tapsi internet taxis. After assessing the validity of the questionnaire by the supervisor and advisor, the reliability of the questionnaire was assessed using Cronbach's alpha analysis. The fit of the research model has been significant and desirable using different indicators. The results of the study indicated that service failure and brand transgression have a positive and significant effect on coping strategies.
