Medical University Faculty Member’s Experiences of Searching and Contrivance in Holy Quran; A Qualitative Study

A glance at the Quran, every man can motivate to Attempt to understand its meaning. In ponder, all people in every rank of the scientific and spiritual understanding, and they can participate. Given the important role of faculty members in community, this study describes the experiences of faculty of medical sciences in the Holy Quran was done.

In this study, a qualitative content analysis approach has been used. Purposive sampling and in-depth interviews, data saturation was achieved with a sample size of 16 patients.

Data were obtained from 20 interviews with 16 participants. The data analyzed in this study appeared in four main categories including; Move towards research in the Quran about physical health (Necessity of studying the Koran, Necessary to refer to the Quran and Hadith infallible, Koran and science, Motives and conduct research in the Quran, Recommended to investigate, realize his benefits), Commitment on perceptions (Recommend to meditations, Empowerment, Avoiding bias, Avoiding  seeing  of the appearance  of quran and simplicity, False beliefs and injuries, Rationality and attention), Towards spirituality and perfection(To Theology, Goal of achieving physical perfection, Guidance), seeking healing in Quran( doing search about shifa in Quran, personal experiences in the Quran healing, Healing directly mentioned in the Quran, Personal perspective on the healing of the Quran, spiritual healing in Qoran).

This study finding showed faculty members of medical university experienced Necessity of searching in the Koran and its importance, Commitment on correct and deep perceptions, reach to Spirituality and perfection by Contrivance in the Koran, searching and seeking physical and mental health in Quran. It is hoped Contrivance and meditate on the Quran, and use of its ocean and be effective in disseminating Islamic teachings.
