Martyrdom of Major General Soleimani in the Light of International Criminal Law: A Comparative Analysis of Existing Mechanisms to Combat Impunity

The non-membership of the Islamic Republic of Iran, Iraq and the United States in the International Criminal Court, on the one hand, and the United States' veto power in the UN Security Council, on the other, face a serious challenge in filing a lawsuit in the International Criminal Court. Special tribunal can be set up, and in this regard, it is necessary to take into account the experience of the international community in establishing the last special tribunal in 2013, which deals with the crimes of the president of a country (Chad) Has been, benefited. The present article aims to find a mechanism through which the feasibility of filing a lawsuit in the International Criminal Court and the establishment of a special court can be used to deal with the impunity of the crime in question.
