Humans have long used a set of forces to prevent or even control crime, which has changed over time. In criminology, prevention includes measures to prevent future crime. It is done with the aim of reducing crime. The purpose of this study is to investigate the effect of targeted patrol in the prevention of theft. The subject of this research is the police command of Naghadeh city in 2022. The statistical population in this study is the commanders, managers and law enforcement experts working in the police command of Naghadeh city, whose number is estimated at 220 people. The sample size based on Cochran's formula was estimated to be about 140 people who were selected using a simple random method to distribute the questionnaire. A researcher-made questionnaire was used to evaluate the effect of targeted patrol on theft prevention. Kolmogorov-Smirtov, T-test and Friedman tests were used to analyze the data and test the hypotheses. The results show that targeted patrols have an effect on theft prevention. The results of Kolmogorov-Smirtov test showed that the distribution of variables was normal. Based on a single sample t-test, the hypotheses were confirmed because the mean was more than 3. And based on Friedman test, it was seen that the impact of having an analysis team on the quality of police performance was the first priority. It was also found that all three sub-hypotheses of the research are correct and acceptable.
