The effectiveness of positive-minded psychotherapy on improving the quality of life and life expectancy of patients with diabetes
The aim of this study was to determine the effectiveness of positive thinking therapy on improving the quality of life and life expectancy of patients with diabetes. The statistical population of the present study included patients with diabetes in Kashmar city who were introduced by the University of Medical Sciences. 30 people were randomly selected and divided into two groups of 15 people. The research instruments were the Quality of Life Questionnaire (IRQOL) and Schneider (1991). The results of analysis of covariance showed that the quality of life and life expectancy of diabetics who received positive thinking intervention had a significant increase compared to members of the control group; Therefore, positive thinking therapy can improve the quality of life and life expectancy of diabetics.In general, chronic diseases, including diabetes, will lead to many clinical, social and psychological problems, which in turn will limit the physical and mental activity of people and reduce the quality of life and life expectancy.
